Every kid deserves to find their passion.

RideFwd makes horseback riding accessible to kids who would not otherwise have the opportunity. Gear, lessons, and a path to compete. All covered, at no cost to families.

Our Mission

To make horseback riding accessible to kids who would not otherwise have the opportunity.

Horseback riding can be one of the most transformative experiences in a young person's life. The connection with an animal, the discipline, the confidence it builds. It changes kids. But for most families, the sport is simply out of reach.

RideFwd exists to change that. We create a loving connection with horses, train competitive riders, and grow the equestrian community for everyone.

From a trail ride in Oregon to building the door for others.

It started on a trail ride in Sunriver, Oregon. A horse that was huge and gentle and just a little intimidating. That feeling, half fear and half wonder, turned out to be the start of everything.

After taking lessons, the fear became confidence. The confidence became passion. That journey led to competing at Oasis Equestrian in Woodside, CA, and one question that never went away: why shouldn't every kid get to feel this?

RideFwd is the answer to that question. The sport is extraordinary. Every kid deserves a chance to find out.

A transformative sport, with three walls keeping kids out.

It's Expensive

Gear, lessons, stable time. The cost of entry puts riding out of reach for most families before a child ever gets on a horse.

It's Hard to Find

There is no horse at every park. Finding a barn, knowing who to call, understanding the community — it is an invisible barrier for most families.

It's Not Diverse

Equestrian sport does not reflect our communities. We believe the sport is richer when everyone has a seat in the saddle.

From first ride to first competition.

Three programs take a child from never having touched a horse to riding on a competitive team, at no cost to families.
